Renault Trucks: 100% of its French industrial sites certified “Landfill Free”

Renault Trucks continues to implement its environmental strategy. All of its industrial sites in France are now certified “Landfill Free”. This internal label, awarded by the Volvo Group, recognises facilities that send no operational waste to landfill, reflecting industrial practices focused on recycling and the systematic recovery of waste.

General Pierre Schill, Chief of Staff of the French Army, visited the Renault Trucks plant in Bourg-en-Bresse on 11 March. The visit gave the French manufacturer an opportunity to showcase its industrial capabilities, its expertise in adapting vehicles for military use and its ongoing support for the French armed forces. The programme continued at the La Valbonne test centre, where Renault Trucks vehicles were tested in demanding conditions during live demonstrations.

When waste heat becomes a resource

In February 2026, the Renault Trucks site in Lyon–Vénissieux reached a major milestone in its energy transformation with the inauguration of its new internal heating system, designed to reduce the site’s environmental footprint.
Beyond the technical upgrade, this project reflects a broader ambition: to sustainably rethink the way the site produces and consumes energy, in line with its climate commitments and with the energy transition policies of the local area.

Renault Trucks Poland organised the first-ever rational driving competition using electric trucks and light commercial vehicles: the E-Optifuel Challenge 2025, held last October. Six experienced drivers competed behind the wheel of two trucks and one light commercial vehicle, all 100% electric. The competition took place around the brand-new service centre in Kajetanów.

This winter, the now-iconic Diamond Echo took on a new mission, heading to Lapland.

Renault Trucks E-Tech T Diamond Echo has been given a new mission, setting off on the snowy roads of Lapland to reach Santa Claus, carrying letters from the children of employees of the company. The 4,000 km journey, which took place between 19 and 29 November, demonstrated that electric technology can cope with extreme cold without flinching. At the start of the year, this truck, the only one of its kind, had already achieved a double world first! As well as being the very first electroluminescent truck in the world, it was also the first electric truck to embark upon a tour of Europe.

Renault Trucks and XPO are continuing to work together to decarbonise transport. XPO Logistics, strongly committed to reducing its carbon footprint, has announced an order for 165 Renault Trucks E-Tech electric trucks, including 105 tractors and 60 rigids.

The Oxygen project unveiled

On 18 October, employees of the French truck manufacturer were given a sneak preview of the laboratory vehicle developed jointly by Renault Trucks, the logistics group, Geodis and 17 partners.  This experimental 16-tonne 100% electric truck is designed to meet the challenges of urban logistics. It will be presented to the general public at the Solutrans trade fair, to be held at Lyon Eurexpo from 21 to 25 November 2023.

Coca-Cola electric trucks arrive in Luxembourg

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) can guarantee that from this point forward deliveries to its customers in Belgium and Luxembourg will be carried down to last mile by 100 % electric Renault Trucks. The Belgium-based bottler has ordered 30 Renault E-Tech D and D Wide Trucks, in a move that makes 20% of its fleet electric.

The first five vehicles were delivered to Coca-Cola in late 2022 and have been assigned to routes in the Antwerp region. Now, there are three electric trucks joining the fleet, this time in Luxembourg. In the coming months, more vehicles will be added at the production and distribution sites in Ghent and Chaudfontaine in Belgium.

Warburtons, the UK’s largest bakery brand, is rolling out its first 16 tonne 100% electric truck, a Renault Trucks D Z.E.
The vehicle, striking in Warburtons orange livery and proudly stating ‘Our electric trucks are the best thing since sliced bread’, joins the company’s secondary bread fleet operating out of its Enfield bakery. The D Z.E., which can cover up to 150km on a single charge, can carry around six tonnes of bread and bakery products to multiple locations across London.
