Ecovadis Gold: Seven Consecutive Years of CSR Excellence for Renault Trucks
Renault Trucks reaffirms its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, having been awarded the Ecovadis Gold certification for the seventh year in a row. With a score of 83/100, an increase of five points compared to 2024, the manufacturer now ranks among the top 2% of companies assessed worldwide.
In 2025, the independent rating agency Ecovadis evaluated more than 130,000 international companies across 21 criteria, grouped into four categories: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
Top Score in Environmental Performance
For the fourth consecutive year, Renault Trucks achieved the maximum score of 100/100 in the Environment category, with Ecovadis recognizing the company’s “outstanding policies on major environmental issues.”
This distinction acknowledges the manufacturer’s efforts to decarbonize road transport, notably through the production of a full range of electric trucks, and to reduce the environmental footprint of its industrial sites. Since 2019, their greenhouse gas emissions have been reduced by 26%, with the target of reaching carbon neutrality by 2040. Renault Trucks is also investing in renewable energy self-production, including the installation of several hectares of photovoltaic panels.
The company is equally committed to preserving natural resources by reducing water consumption at its sites, optimizing the use of raw materials, and ensuring waste is sorted, reused, or recycled.
Strengthening Ethical Practices
Renault Trucks’ Ethics score rose by nine points in 2025 (79/100). At the end of 2024, the company launched a “responsible sales” initiative to pre-assess potential projects that may involve risks.
A dedicated review committee now evaluates sensitive commercial transactions, such as those involving high-risk countries or sales of military products or equipment for military end-users. This approach ensures a clear, transparent, and ethical framework for all business activities.
Significant Progress in Sustainable Procurement
With a score of 85/100 in Sustainable Procurement – a sharp increase of 25 points – Renault Trucks was recognized by Ecovadis for its rigorous supply chain management practices.
The company places transparency, traceability, and risk management at the core of its supply chain strategy. In 2024, 94% of tier-one suppliers completed the SAQ assessment, which evaluates their social, environmental, and governance practices. Targeted audits are carried out with high-risk suppliers, while a strict code of conduct governs all business relationships. In addition, Renault Trucks applies the RMI program to ensure traceability of so-called “3TG” minerals (tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold).
All of Renault Trucks’ sustainability initiatives are detailed in its 2025 Sustainability Report.
