Public charging stations for electric trucks in Europe: a network in continuous expansion

Charging operators, in collaboration with energy providers, are developing an infrastructure capable of supporting the growing deployment of electric trucks. Several networks of public charging stations are emerging, making long-distance electric transport across Europe feasible (see the interactive map below).

These networks feature high-power charging points that allow trucks to recharge during drivers’ mandatory rest periods. In the near future, the introduction of megachargers, capable of partially or fully recharging trucks in just a few minutes, will make operations even more efficient.

As of September 30, 2025, there are (updated regularly) :

• 191 truck-specific operational charging hubs

• 157 operational charging hubs suitable for trucks

• 135 truck-specific charging hubs in the pipeline

Thanks to a coordinated approach between industry and policymakers, we are building a reliable and ambitious ecosystem that supports energy transition and strengthens the position of transport operators ready to adopt electric fleets.
