Deliver Assist: Your delivery experience will never be the same!
This truck is set to transform the way you are delivered. Road-blocking loading and unloading operations belong to the past. The fully automated system significantly reduces the time the vehicle is stationary on the road, as well as shortening the overall delivery run. This leads to a 30% boost in productivity!
Say goodbye to the days of wrapping goods and foodstuffs in plastic film. Instead of traditional pallets, everything is now securely stored in durable metal roll containers. Thanks to an onboard carousel system guided by geolocation, the correct container is automatically positioned at the rear of the truck as it nears the next delivery point.
No more accidents with pallet handling or tailgate operations. The containers for each sales outlet are automatically lowered to road level by a lift, avoiding the need for drivers to repeatedly climb on and off the truck and use a pallet jack. Not to mention that this clever mechanism is built on an all-electric truck chassis, ensuring zero local emissions. All this means less stress, less fatigue, and ultimately, a completely reimagined delivery experience.

With last-mile delivery seeing double-digit growth, the sector is calling out for transformation on account of the pollution and inconveniences of all kinds that it generates. Renault Trucks has developed a smart, innovative solution tailored for urban logistics, designed to revolutionise city centre deliveries. This ingenious system, known as Deliver Assist, combines an all-electric Renault Trucks vehicle with a carousel system, connected containers and real-time geolocation technology. This innovation is the result of a collaboration between Actemium (VINCI Energies) and E.re.ca as equipment suppliers, Jacky Perrenot as haulier, Intermarché as shipper, and Renault Trucks as manufacturer. The innovation also received support from the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME).
How to decarbonize my urban logistics ->
“I had the original vision, but the specialists have turned it into something truly extraordinary”, sums up Fabrice Courtens, Urban Logistics Project Director at Renault Trucks. This project would never have come to life without the dedication of committed partners. ACTEMIUM Handling Systems, which normally designs workshop conveyors, were tasked with designing a carousel system that could be mounted on a moving electric truck chassis. Jacky Perrenot, the haulier, was just as attracted by the improvement in safety and work conditions as by the gain in productivity.
“Sometimes the best ideas come from the most unexpected places!" concludes Lucie Dumeny, Electromobility Project Manager at Renault Trucks France. What if the truck used to carry out tomorrow’s urban deliveries was inspired by a dry cleaners’? And what if the innovative onboard carousel system bears a faint resemblance to the rotating conveyor belts used for hanging clothes? Renault Trucks opens the doors of its R&D lab.
“The route is sent to the truck via the app, which prepares the roll containers for the next delivery while en route,” explains Cédric Laventure, an HGV driver at Jacky Perrenot. He and Fabrice Courtens are set for the moment - or rather the run - of truth. Will the smart carousel system, guided by geolocation, rise to the challenge? And what will the representative of an urban Intermarché supermarket think of it?
Urban logistics is a major societal challenge in France, accounting for 25-30% of total logistics costs and contributing to 15% of city traffic, with significant implications for air quality. It is also a factor in 7% of urban accidents. This complex ecosystem demands efficient, low-carbon and safe management of goods flow. Renault Trucks and its partners, the Jacky Perrenot Group, E.re.ca, and ACTEMIUM Handling Systems, have joined together to develop a groundbreaking solution with financial backing from the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME). This innovation, called Deliver Assist, offers substantial improvements in safety, environmental sustainability and productivity.
