Renault Trucks at IAA 2026: practical solutions to accelerate the decarbonisation of road transport

From 15 to 20 September 2026, at IAA Transportation fair in Hanover, the leading international event for transport professionals, Renault Trucks will showcase its latest electric and diesel innovations for urban delivery and distribution, construction, and long-haul transport applications. On a 923 m² booth located in Hall 21, Stand B52, the manufacturer will highlight the evolution of its electric range, which is now capable of meeting the operational requirements of a growing number of road transport applications.

Among the major innovations on display will be the Renault Trucks T High 2027 model year equipped with the new
DE13 R engine, as well as the Renault Trucks E-Tech T 780 designed for long-haul operations.

World premiere: the 2027 Renault Trucks T High and its new DE13 R engine

At IAA 2026, Renault Trucks will exclusively unveil the 2027 Renault Trucks T High equipped with the new DE13 R engine.

Designed to improve energy efficiency, performance and driving comfort, the new engine reduces fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions by up to 4% compared with the previous generation. Available in versions up to 540 hp and 2,800 Nm of torque, it is paired with a new Optidriver gearbox delivering faster and smoother gear shifts. It also benefits from a more powerful engine brake, enhancing vehicle control and driving comfort, particularly on demanding routes.

To showcase the technological advancements of this new driveline, a DE13 R engine will also be displayed on the stand.

A growing electric range

Renault Trucks will exhibit several electric vehicles illustrating the rapid expansion of its electric offering.

Among them will be the Renault Trucks E-Tech T 780, a new model designed for long-haul transport. With a 660 km range enabling a full legal driving day without intermediate charging, it opens up new opportunities for the electrification of long-distance road transport. This extended range is made possible by a new architecture featuring an electric axle, which integrates the main driveline components at the rear of the vehicle, freeing up space for additional battery capacity.

The heavy-duty electric offering will also be represented by the Renault Trucks E-Tech T 540. Designed for regional distribution operations, it is now capable of achieving up to 450 km on a single charge.

Renault Trucks will also showcase the Renault Trucks E-Tech D 14T, a particularly compact vehicle designed for urban distribution operations. The latest addition to the manufacturer’s electric distribution range, it addresses the access and manoeuvrability constraints of city-centre operations thanks to its narrow width and turning radius of less than 7.3 metres, making it one of the most manoeuvrable electric trucks in its category.

A dedicated Light Commercial Vehicle area

Renault Trucks will dedicate part of its booth to its Light Commercial Vehicle range and will showcase two electric models:

  • Renault Trucks E-Tech Master Offroad. Designed for light construction activities, this electric light commercial vehicle combines zero-emission mobility with capabilities suited to demanding terrain. Available exclusively through Renault Trucks, the Offroad version features increased ground clearance and dedicated equipment that facilitates access to construction sites.
  • A next-generation electric Light Commercial Vehicle, a Flexis-developed vehicle, based on a dedicated skateboard platform and a Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) architecture.

Through this offering, Renault Trucks reaffirms its ambitions in the Light Commercial Vehicle market, with the objective of doubling sales volumes by 2030.
