Industrial footprint

Renault Trucks manufactures our trucks and most of our components in France in 4 industrial facilities. For certain foreign destinations, the company works with local partners who assemble vehicles dispatched as sets of parts (CKD: Completely Knocked Down).

Blainville-sur-Orne (Calvados)

Operating since 1956, Renault Trucks’ Blainville-sur-Orne assembly plant (Calvados) specialises in the production of medium-duty vehicles and truck cabs for all ranges of the French truck manufacturer.

First factory to manufacture electric trucks in Europe, it has hosted the series production of the Renault Trucks E‑Tech D and D Wide (16, 19 and 26 tonnes) since March 2020. The 2,000th electric truck rolled off the Normandy production line in 2025.

The site is also home to the Blainville Adaptation Centre (BAC), a workshop dedicated to the customisation of Renault Trucks vehicles. It meets specific customer requirements that cannot be fulfilled on the main production line. Thanks to the Blainville Adaptation Centre (BAC), customers benefit from tailor-made trucks, built to manufacturer-quality standards with the full warranty coverage. Thirty per cent of vehicles receive post-production adaptations. Since the workshop was established, the Blainville plant’s Adaptation Centre has completed its 15,000th vehicle conversion.

Key words: build quality, ease of assembly and ergonomic workstation.
Overview of the key stages of production.

The Used Trucks Factory is Renault Trucks’ specialist workshop dedicated to the transformation of pre-owned vehicles,
located at the heart of the adaptation centre at the Bourg-en-Bresse plant.
Renault Trucks T tractor units are converted there into rigids (Renault Trucks P-Road).
Long-haul vehicles are transformed into construction approach trucks (Renault Trucks T X-Road).

Limoges (Haute-Vienne)

Operational since 2003, the knowledge base of the Limoges plant is founded in effect on over 80 years of history; its remanufacturing activity started just prior to the Second World War. It specialises in overhauling major mechanical components (engines, gearboxes, sub-assemblies) and aftertreatment (particulate filter, etc) for light commercial and heavy commercial vehicles.

Each year, more than 22,000 parts are refurbished through a rigorous industrial process: complete dismantling, inspection, refurbishment and quality testing. Components that cannot be reused are sent to dedicated recycling channels.

The use of ultra-modern industrial resources make this industial site the leading European reconditioning one in terms of respect for the environment through its new and unique concepts: "zero liquid discharge", selective sorting of waste, reduction of atmospheric emissions.  The Limoges industrial site includes a physico chemical treatment station that enables the complete recycling of production water. The cooling systems use closed loop water circuits or dry cooling technology, eliminating the need for cooling towers.

  • Remanufacturing

Renault Trucks REMAN (formerly eXchange) is an extensive range of remanufactured parts
which meet the same criteria for reliability, durability and performance as the original new part.
Our remanufacturing process leaves nothing to chance and integrates into a well-organised logistics loop,
meaning that each used part is overhauled in the optimal manner.
